Started early to beat the traffic but had to stop to put on warmer gloves (at least I'd brought them!).  This is a farm along the South Skagit Hwy.




Bridge over the Sauk.  Rivers were high with snow melt.




Liberty Bell mountain above Washington Pass.  Beautiful, but cold in the wind.




Glacial Valley below Liberty Bell.




Arete above Early Winters creek.




Heading home.   




300+ miles on the LeMans today.  What a great day.

Now that's a good idea. Sitting out the rain & wind in Ulverstone, while waiting for tonight's ferry back to the mainland - a few test photos wouldn't go astray.

Nice Sed, brings back some memories of early winter spires and Liberty bell. Summited both in the 90's. Still like riding by them.

The iron bird is a wedge tailed eagle outside The Wall at Derwent Bridge. A wall of absolutely stunning sculpture, mostly in huon pine. If you are passing, DO stop in & take a look. Prepare to be stunned. Otherwise google "the wall Derwent bridge" & click on "images". Pity no 3D on computers (yet).
