Back around 1983 or 4 my ex and I took a ride from WI to Colorado. It was my first Guzzi, a 75 850T. We ended up staying at a motel in Estes Park. Must have been 90 degrees the next day and we headed up the mountain. Clime quickly changed to 35 degrees and rain. Back side of the mountain was under construction and the road was mud all the way down. Finally found a motel in Cody WY and as fate would have it, a guy on an Eldo pulled up right next to us. We got our rooms and met later for dinner. He was a stereotypical biker of the day. A little gruff, bearded, and a couple of days of road grime. Turned out to be a Guzzi zealot and a guenouslly

A little gruff, bearded, and a couple of days of road grime. Turned out to be one of the nicest guys I've ever met on the road and he really knew his stuff about Guzzis. Dinner was great and he was very respectful to both me and my wife. You just never know.
