Need Help to identify these shocks.
« on: May 15, 2016, 04:45:02 PM »
Cleaning things out of my garage that use to belong to my late son.
I did sale a few years back an older 80's Moto Guzzi but for some reason that I don't understand why have I got a set of shocks that seem to be just like some I have seen for sale on eBay.
They are like brand new Progressive 1353-90/130 ones. You can even read the numbers on them. The only flaw you see in the pictures is where some of the paint is flaking off at the top but all else is great and never been installed. No luck with the numbers but I will call progressive Monday and see if they have some into.
Eye to eye like 13"
Hard to list them for sale when I have no idea what they might fit?
Any help would be great guys.

Look like the now discontinued 1200-series shocks. 13" eye-to-eye would work well on Loops and early Tontis with short swingarms. 90/130 was the firmer of the two choices of springs for them IIRC. Have an almost identical set-up on my '71 Ambo.

Thanks for that info. I sold the one that my son had been given in 2013 and I think it was a  84 V65 but not real sure now? I was told a lot of things  during the time I was trying to get info on it.
The bike from what the guy that bought it said it had spun a bearing and that is why the org owner had taken it apart so why would he have bought new shocks unless he had them before and never installed them??

I sent an email to Progressive and with any luck they can tell me what they went on? Then I will be able to list them for sale or sell them to the guy that bought the one from me if he even needs them.

Thanks
