NGC wheel chock physics ?

my cheapo HF chock has always worked great, roll into it and dismount, always held bike up tight.

my new bike has such a skinny tire it wants to tip over.. So, I figure I could modify the stand to hold the tire tighter.. when looking at it I can't decide if the forward vertical support needs to be tighter on tire or is the action all in the levered tip up section behind the wheel?
ps, I have tried adjusting the forward piece to the different mounting holes but none of them fix the situation.

Looks like tightening the rear does nothing as the wheel can turn out of it, tighten up the front.

The fix for 90/90 tire in any wheel chock is 2 tie down straps. Pull the bike in and it will list to the side in sloooooow motion. I have the same issue with my DR's in a Baxley sport chock. If you back your DR in all is well

A sketch would be worth a thousand words, but if you had a piece of steel about 1/8" thick by say 4 " high by 7". Leave 1" in the center and bend up 45 degrees on both sides of the 1" flat. Weld/bolt that into the vertical member of the chock. The wheel will stay centered in the chock and stay upright when the back cams the wheel forward.
Make sense?
At any rate, the forward part. The rear just puts pressure on the wheel to force it into the V.

Both.

I had the opposite problem. I felt that the Norge did not sit in that device due to the tire being wider. It would easily tip one way or the other and I never trusted it to hold my plastic shrouded baby.
YMMV and I'm sure some here find them useful. I prefer more traditional methods.
