1981 Monza 500
« on: June 10, 2016, 06:42:06 AM »
I spotted this on Craigslist this morning.  The price seems high.  Looks like it is a good restoration candidate.

Is there still interest in these?  I don't know much about them.

I'll never understand someone trying to sell a motorcycle by posting photos of it covered in dirt, and parked in a way that makes it look like it hasn't run for quite a while, but saying it "runs and drives", and admitting it comes with a carb kit.  I might be out of touch, but it looks like about a $1,500 motorcycle to me.

I agree. Would need to be near perfect for the $4k asking price. That one is far from it. Maybe $2500 due to it's rarity.

It looks as if it *might* clean up really well. If the seller wants that kind of money out of it, he needs to do that..and.. get it running. If he's too lazy to do the work, I'd say it's a 2K bike.
