Engine Cover Paint
« on: June 16, 2016, 07:20:16 AM »
Hey folks. I have a 2013 v7 Stone. The PO dropped it in the driveway and it had a few small cosmetic blemishes. I fixed everything but a small 2 inch rash on the left head engine cover. Can I remove that cover, paint it, and put it back on without having to do anything else, or is a crap ton of stuff going to need to be replaced and adjusted just from my lifting off the cover?

PS- I remember greasing the triple tree bearings on an old CB750. I turned the tree upside down in the garage and 18 bearings went bouncing all over the floor.

if you mean the rocker cover, nothing will fall off when you remove it.. don't strip the threads by over tightening when you put it back on.
