This is what has been going on inside my helmet of late. It's an original unreleased JJ Cale tune done by E.C.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvrnG2czN4k

Well, I did listen to all above links and they were good songs. Good indeed. No echos though.

Thanks for that Wymple, never heard him before. He's good alright. Can't beat Blind Willie Johnson for slide in my opinion though. https://youtu.be/XsYtT8owyJ0

No doubt a lot of good slide players have come and gone but Blind Willie Johnson is the king!

For about 30 years, I had this melody in my head and I would walk to it.  Every day.  Thought it was my own little tune.  Then just recently I realized it was one of Ronnie Wood's riffs off his version of Dylan's Seven Days.

Another song seared in my head, Sufjan Stevens' "Perpetual Self" https://youtu.be/QiOYMHgCQe0.  It's the ending theme from my favorite documentary of all time, Babies by Thomas Balmes.

Had a bit of an acquaintance with Levon , he never totally forgave Robbie for some of his behavior towards the othe members of the band . Still , they made some brilliant music together

John,

Poodles definitely approve.  Would have responded with "Night they drove old Dixie down"--but that would betray my southern heritage.

Instead I present at your feet some other blues, from a true Guitar God:

Ms LD drug me through six hours errands and shopping today.  Body crashed post-Colorado also.  Had to cancel steak dinner with riding buddy Ed.  I just can't stand COSTCO and food stores and other stuff anymore.  Alone with poodles now recovering--- songs are highly appreciated--I am definitely into Gulf Coast summer blues time...pretty down

Iris always sings to me when I am in Durango, my home town.  So many people now.  And so much change, and people gone and dead.
