1400 California Touring preload notes, for the interested

Front, non-adjustable.  120 range, static measured at 41 = 34% sag.  175 lbs drops it 14 mm, not too bad  Not going to bottom.

Rear, pre-load only. 8.5 mm spring, 7 or 8 wraps, the covered part appears to be less widely spaced and may be a dual rate attempt.  Closest match to front sag is position 3, which Guzzi indicates is for 2 up.  110 mm range, 36-37 sag = about 32% - this is with the 175 lb rider.  I never bottomed with a pillion on 3, but I have on 2, so this is probably a reasonable position.  Have tried 4, doesn't feel as good solo, although I can't say why.

Looking forward to a change in the rear eventually.
