V65C left carb removal

OK, what's the trick?   Does the airbox have to be removed to pull the carb? I've ran out of beer and patience with that one.

I think the sleeve to airbox slides in to it. Not sure. Been a while. Loosen all hose clamps & get more beer.

Just doing that yesterday. The sleeve pushes into the airbox. I'm not sure the airbox can even come out, I couldn't figure a way on mine, but you can get the small cover up front off and change the element.

I think it is like the V50.  Loosen the carb clamp on the intake rubber connector sleeve and pull the carb out of the connector (the carb will slide backward into the airbox). Then push the carb toward the center-line of the bike (the rubber airbox flexes enough to allow this).  This will allow you to loosen the other clamp and pull off the rubber connector.  Once the connecting sleeve is out the carb can be pulled forward out of the airbox and removed.

OK, thanks for the suggestions.  I'll get more beer and see what I can do.

The rubber gets stiff from age, warming them helps and spray with some soap too. I put PHF's on mine instead of PHBH's so I don't remember how it was originally.
