V7 C Cruise control

Has anyone found a cruise control that will work on a 2014 V7 Classic?

Depends on what you are looking for.  Throttle locks are available -- they will give you constant engine RPM, variable cycle speed.  Or, units are available that will give you constant vehicle speed, regardless of the terrain the cycle is running.

The constant vehicle speed unit are either a Rostra Electronic Unit or an Audiovox Unit.  Both are available from Murph's Kits in Kentucky.

This device is so simple you won't believe how effective it is.. for about $20. from Aerostich..

To avoid using a cruise control I disconnected one of the two return springs on my throttle control.  This is for a pre-2013 V7 with two throttle bodies (TB).  There is a powerful return spring on each, and it's simple to disconnect one, making the throttle easier to handle.
On a "new" post-2013 engine with one TB there might be only one spring to begin with, I'm not sure.

I installed an o-ring between the bar end weight and the grip. I can relax my hand and the throttle doesn't move. But you have to remember to throttle back positively - there is no automatic return to idle speed - and you need to adjust for changes in terrain. But it is pretty cheap and works!

I had to experiment to find the right size o-ring. I bought a kit of various sizes at the local auto supply and tried several until I found the right one.

My BMW R90/6 had a thumb screw with a nylon end that was built into the throttle grip assembly. Turning it in adjusted the degree of resistance to twisting. Adjustability is nice, but once you get the right size o-ring, it works pretty much the same.

Some jurisdictions don't approve of a throttle that won't automatically snap to idle speed when released, just to let you know. Some riders and others consider this method unsafe and recommend against it. It does require modifying how you use the throttle.

I wouldn't suggest any throttle holding system or electronic cruise control for an inexperienced rider. Motorcycling is dangerous enough without a throttle than doesn't return to idle when released.

The lever thingy pictured above has the benefit of being easy to override and taken out of the equation, but then it has to be constantly reset, which is a little bit more awkward than the o-ring system which is resit with normal throttle inputs only. Either method just has to be gotten used to.

I have one of these on my V7 Special (and my Monster 796, and my F800GT).
They work great.  It replaces the right side bar end weight.   You can dial in just the right amount of friction to keep the throttle from returning it's own.
You can still roll off, or adjust the throttle with it engaged.   To disengage roll throttle forward with your pinky finger wrapped around the throttle lock.

I use a Throttle Rocker or a NEP on my MCs, maxi-scooters.

I installed the Omni-Cruise, not so sure I like it, but need a right arm rest on those long rides, so I'll live with it.
