Happiness From Guzzi Coming Back
« on: July 24, 2016, 02:50:46 PM »
I've been somewhat frustrated with my V7 ever since the Oklahoma rally and the breakdown at museum.  Fouled plugs, would not take full throttle, bad gas mileage, etc.

Just wanted my Guzzi to run.  Had to take my annual family reunion trip on a two-fiddy, instead of my V7.  Bummer.

Apparently these problems were all due to a bad connection on right cylinder engine temperature sensor.

Spent this morning putting 150 miles on V7.  Treating it like a mule I've rented from my red-headed step child.   The one with leprosy.

Runs perfect now.   Happy to have Guzzi joy return.

I remember that thing misbehaving at Cedar Vale. Good to hear you have it running well again! Guess the bad connection made it think it was VERY cold all the time and the ecu richened up the fuel to suit.

Swede of Smith,

That is great news.  A fine running small block is a thing of beauty indeed.

ps:  took a video of a triple ride for you this morning, need to edit, and will post...

Glad that is resolved and the the grin is back. :thumb: Don't like it when older bikes screw up but much worse on a late model. Just ain't cool.
