Unique 2025 V7 Arrives at Hamlin Cycles in Bethel, CT?
« on: April 16, 2025, 12:12:28 PM »
Not listed or catalogued anywhere in official Moto Guzzi factory materials, but a 2025 equivalent of the previous V7 Carbon Shine (black Stone with dazzling Chrome fuel tank) just arrived at Hamlin Cycles. No doubt...this "non-existent," V7 missing link is going to have to be a pretty unique machine. Hamlin Cycles is in Bethel, Connecticut (44 Grassy Plain Street ... 203-942-2232), of course.

So if you want something that no one else has...

Both Stones are setup to dazzle oncoming traffic and light up tree tops.  :violent1: The Chrome looks like a bit of an afterthought without matching mudguards (and sidepanels), or at least polished aluminium ones, IMO.

[I wonder if MG will ever go back to non-Harleyesq capacities and give some of us punters an opportunity to buy something smaller/lighter. A V50/65 revival but weighed down by all the modern 'necessities' probably wouldn't sell Stateside but it's a big World out there.]
Nearly natural progression..

Present: V7III CS, (V50II), (V7C).

Following the tangent, I don’t know what they could remove to lessen weight. The changes that added to the weight were primarily in the chassis (substantially more rigid frame than the pre-2000 small blocks and newer swingarm) and motor (fitting the 6 gears, etc). Curious how much lighter the T100 is from the T120, or the old R60/65 from the bigger airheads (though apparently not curious enough to check)

No matter what's offered, it always needs to be "something else".

They've gotta somehow use up the stocks of unsold (cost-a-fortune) aftermarket tanks! The bike doesn't even have chrome pipes.  :violent1:
Not a patch on my Carbon Shine Limited.

Italians sure have a flair for parts bin specials, as witnessed by Laverda, Ducati, MG etc.
Also, is it just me or does a Stone Chrome not seem like a paradox? Stones are supposed to be pared back, plain Jane bikes, are they not?

I came up with 15lbs. They are pretty much the same bike, the T 100 is a 5 speed, the T120 6. I had a T120 which I think had only minor difference than the 100 other than the gearbox.

Yup, differences are pretty small.

Like you said different transmissions and of course the T120 has the second disc up front. Plus probably small differences in a few other components.

Forgot about the second disc. Even with the twin discs I didn't find the brakes to be very impressive, marginally better than my V7lll.
