Any body have any experience and recommendation for a small to mid size ultra sonic cleaner?

I do I do. For the smaller cheap sub hundred dollar ones that is.

I got mine mainly to clean the carbon off of my diesel trucks injectors tips but use it alot on stuff like lawnmower carbs. Works great with the right cleaning solution - many small units are used with cleaners for gun parts, jewelery and dentures.

I got this one from Amazon...


Takes a couple of hours usually to clean small parts.

I have the Harbor Frieght one and it's ok considering it was about $75.

I have the large Harbor Freight model, about$60 on sale. Done several carbs with it,works pretty good for the price. Been using Simple Green HD for fluid, unless someone has a better idea.

I like the simple green hd too.

I have the small Harbor freight unit. Cost about $25. It works well but auto shuts off after only two minutes. Wish I had bought a bigger one.

We use mostly Branson at work (chemistry deprtment). The one Canuck links to look pretty decent for the price. The one caveat to remember is keep the tank at least 3/4 full. Some have a fill line, others don't. Not filling the tank enough can overload the transducer and destroy it. Branson sells replacement tanks with the transducer(s) bonded to them. Not sure what the support would be for the Chinese ones. Take care of them and they will last a long time.
