cali EV shocks on 94 Cali 1100
« on: August 19, 2016, 08:15:00 PM »
After posting my now gone Cali EV's  shocks  for sale on different sites ( Craigslist, Ebay) and not getting any bites , I decided to install them on my current Cali (94 1100 carbie). After all , they were removed at about 2k miles to be replaced with specially  ordered  Ohlins to allow for 2 up riding spring weight etc. Anyway the original Sachs units were lying around, and after kicking out the 12 mm mounting flanges, getting spacers to keep the Heim( rose joint)  eye mounts floating, they found their way on the Cali . so far I got them set at 3 turns toward tight on the damping and they seem to work well. Not much 2 up riding these days as the wife doesn't have much time to ride . More to report after a good long ride in the Sierra foothills on Labor Day weekend

You should have no problems with running those on after modding the fit.
From the Deep Deep South out in left field.  There are no stupid questions.  There are however stupid people asking questions.  🤣, this includes me.  😉 Hawaii.
