Back with the goose guys
« on: August 22, 2016, 07:38:07 AM »
Hey guys, some of the guys here that's been on the site a while my remember me as I was a member a few years ago. I had a 04 cal EV. I REALLY LOVED THE BIKE But my closest dealer was 100 miles away. I had a couple issues with her and got spooked and sold her and had regreats since. I have been trying for months to find a real nice 07- 2010 California vintage. I have found a couple in California but including shipping it would have put the cost way over value. So, I'm hoping g to find one not much more than a couple days away. I'm in NC as my forum name indicates. If any of you guys hear of one for sale please contact me. My email address is ( dgps3@yahoo.com )
Thanks guys hope to have a goose soon. Thanks

Craigslist is a pretty good avenue.  Search by cities or regions near you.  Good luck!

My story is much the same, but with a 1200 Sport.  Dealers weren't the problem, but multiple electrical issues that they didn't seem able to resolve are what prompted me to sell the bike.  It took about a month before the sellers remorse set in.  I thought about looking for another one, but ended up just going with a new V7 Special.  It's not a 1200 Sport, but it has plenty of charms of its own.  I may look for another 12S one day, but right now I'm a happy camper.

Good luck with your search.

Have you tried the Swap Meet section of the forum.  Some of the guys have older Guzzis for sale too.  Perazzimix14 is one and  I forget who was selling an EV mustard and brown, cheap.

Hey guys, I have an up date on my first post. Just a few days later I was contacted by a member here who lives in Idaho. He advised he has an 07 cal. Vintage he is selling with low mileage and in great shape! I am in the process of working all the particulars out now to get the goose to NC. there is a motorcycle shipping company called HAUL BIKES that will ship anywhere in the US for 450.00 and that includes 15,000 insurance policy with 500.00 deductible, add 50 more for a 50 dollar deductible. So looks like I'm going to be on a wild goose again! Thanks to this great forum.

HaulBikes is great! Pam is the contact who will manage your shipment. No surprises. You can ship bike fueled and ready to run so  buyer can meet the truck and ride his new machine home.

I sold my BMW R65 about 6 hours ago to a buyer in Seattle, and Haul Bikes is picking it up in NC and taking it to him next week, for $450. You can't come close to that price anywhere else, and I've used Haul Bikes twice in the past with excellent results. Hope it all goes well, and congrats on your new Cal Vintage!

Hope you are happy with your CalVin. Great bikes all around.

Just because someone doesn't own a Guzzi doesn't mean they are not welcome here. That's one of they great things about Luap's board.

Welcome back to the fold....
and a ride report and pics would be nice when you get her home!!!!
