friend tried this approach once - beautiful black full dress 750.  We got an hour away on our planned tour around Lake Superior and it broke down.  Electronics...and, we could have the replacement parts in a week - nobody had them in stock anymore.  That killed that trip.  Don't know if such a risk is still present - too bad if so, these were great bikes - and this one looks great!

Good eye!  My bro owns my old 1972.  Identical to this one, but has the proper painted side covers, and no dents in the tank!
This one makes my bro's look even nicer!
