JBS Shocks
« on: September 21, 2016, 11:05:14 PM »
I'm wondering if anyone has used these shocks?
They look good and are cheap but a ride report would be nice. They'd be for my Ambo.

OK,
I take it from the deafening silence that we have a thumbs down for JBS. Plenty of bad on the webs too.
Haven't found any proper reviews but stiff spring and short travel seems the way of it, neither of which appeals.
Some mention of early breakage and lots of cheap Chinese crap comments.
I see some Ikons in my future.
Thanks.

Hagons! if you call the distributor (Jeff?) will set it up with the right spring for your size before shipping and they are not priced very high.. I was pleased with them on my Bassa..

Dave Quinn Motorcycles. If Luthier is lucky he has a dealer as good where he is.

Ikon Basix are only USD 180 a pair and are rebuildable.

I'm very happy with my Hagons from Dave Quinn, makes the 2nd set I've bought from him.

Yes I tried to order them but there's a deal with Oz so I have to buy them here at $345Aud.
That's cool, they have to make a buck and with freight and exchange it's all taken care of.

It's still cheaper than Hagon not even counting freight from UK and they dial it up for the weights I specify[I know Hagon is sposed to also do this] so I'll be going with Ikon when a little more money flows my way. Meanwhile my bike is only waiting on exhaust and seat which should be here next week.

On my LM3 I went from no name brand chinese crap to Bitubo's. Aaaah fantastic!

You cannot overspend on quality suspension components. Price is forgotten immediately after your first ride.
