New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Hey, that's GREAT! Are they made in China?
I put a set of those in grey on my silver Norge. They work just fine, and look good too. Don't forget to replace the pins that provide their axles, as the pins wear just like the levers do.
Been looking for some new levers for my B1100 just like these. Seems like ebay is higher this time around than what you found them for. Can you post the link to the Amazon page please?
Thanks for the advice on the pins, I didn't think to look to see if those were aluminum. Sounds like a trip to my local hardware store for stainless replacements is in order.
You likely won't find them even at a specialty hardware store - they are a very long shank of thick material before the smaller threaded portion begins, and I could only find them as a motorcycle part. Since they are all part of the assembly provided by Brembo, you can check BMW and other dealers as well as the usual Guzzi sources. I believe they are made of steel, but somewhat mild steel. They don't wear as fast as the lever's hole that surrounds them, but they gradually go oval and add to the slop and play in the lever's movement.MG's part number for these on the Norge is AP8113995 (brake side) and GU03604845 (clutch side) - both are referred to as a 'lever pin'. They may or may not come with the locknut, but those are easier to find.
Well, I broke the tip off of my right brake lever (I don't wanna talk about it ) so I ordered some cheap $20 adjustable replacements on Amazon. Functionally I like them and they fit great and work fine. I was going to get silver but they were out of stock, so instead of getting $75 OEM replacements I opted to get red. A bit flashy for my tastes so I may go back and try again for gold or silver, but I was glad there were cheap options available. They are more anodized metallic looking IRL than in the picture.
By the way...what's the button there for...a heated seat or heated gear perhaps? Looks like some wiring running to the back near the seat is governed by this switch? Thanks!
Just go to amazon.com and search for "Guzzi Norge Brake lever"
Cool...I like that placement better...I've got extra driving lights as well, but the on/off is just a dangly switch at present zip tied and strapped to the bars...need to run something like this...thanks for the idea!!
Ha ha!! Zombie...that's good IT, I remember that now from seeing your bike in John Day...cool stuff.I'm hoping to find something that has a nice little muted illumination at night...will get to search now.
Thanks IT...do I need a 2 pin or 3 pin switch for the driving lights? As I'll have to cut the existing On/Off switch, want to make sure I buy the correct new switch...found some good ones on Amazon...
Agreed...it has the relay and is all properly wired in with automatic shut off when the ignition is off, it's just the On / Off button is a dangly floppy one zip tied into my other wires (it's the original one from the light manufacturer) and has a counter intuitive lighting where Green light is off, and Yellow light is on...so I'm just looking to cut that end off, and re-attach the wires to a more sturdily mounted switch like yours/IT's on the hard plastic. Thanks again both!
