V11 sport guys
« on: September 29, 2016, 06:51:36 AM »
If you aren't on the V11lemans forum, Lucky Phil has developed a shifter extension that improves.. uh.. shifting.  I made a few until I ran out of material and ambition. I've found a water jet shop that will do the grunt work for me and I'll do another run if I get enough interest. PM or email me.

This is a great improvement if you have a V11 Sport variant. So buy one!

If you decide not to make any more, can you post the dimensions?  I'm not set up for production work, but I'd make one or two for myself on the mill.

If you go over to the forum it shows the mod where he simply added some material to the stock part and drilled a new hole. Doing this would be far easier then to make it along with the correct bends needed.

But from the pictures I have seen on the forum of the ones he has made are sure nice. :)

Yes, the easiest way to get one for yourself is to just weld an extension on the original part. That's what Phil did to prove proof of concept. I gave it a go and decided it is a worthwhile mod, so did a short run. After I finished that, I kept getting inquiries, so am going to do this last run of them.
Edit:
Here's the thread that started it all. Phil has done a great job of explaining how the preselector works.
