That was a very good ad - clever!  :thumb:

Strange. Reminds me of the used car salesman on TV, closing the car's hood, and then the bumpers and wheels fall off!

Hate it when that happens!

Interesting and funny, but I don't have any more of a desire to go out and buy a Honda than I did before .... ?

Great ad. Loads of imagination. Been around for many years. I don't know why but it has suddenly resurfaced on several fora I am on. Far as I can see, most ads for whatever are not intended to make you run down and buy one; they are simply intended to raise brand awareness, is all. For future consideration, not for immediate sales.
Unmitigated risk aversion is the new Puritanism; complete with witch hunts funny outfits and humorless preachers thundering doom. The Deity is Safety; Satan is a Lawyer; but the object is the same: to suck the life out of life and tell you how to live it.

I remember that commercial from a while ago - it's really good. The only criticism I have is when the left hand makes a twisting motion and you hear a motorcycle engine rev (then dirt bike appears). The throttle is on the right.  :violent1:

I would not hesitate to buy another Honda product in future. I have been pleased with:
- Pilot SUV
- CB350-Four
- Superhawk 996
- A couple generators (3000 and 1000)
But... they are all gone now and I am in Honda-less house.

I keep looking at the Africa Twin... but then there are Quotas and Cagiva Gran Canyons for far less money.

Only problem with Honda cars is that they start to burn oil at around 300,000 miles.

I have a Honda motorcycle that burns oil at about 12,000 miles. Keeps the mosquitoes away when I start it. Might be related to that time the valve seat fell out of the head. Or the cam wearing out at about 2000 miles. I'm sure it isn't related to the oil drippings on the ground under it.
A few months ago I was under the hood of a co-works Honda, changing out the timing sensor that had left him stranded, as he talked on and on about how his Honda never lets him down.

One of my favorites was from years ago. I few of us were on a ride. GuzziSteve had his sidecar rig. A friend of mine was on an older 1100 Goldwing. We stopped for a break, and the Goldwing rider noticed a drop of oil under Steve's Guzzi, and started bad mouthing Guzzis. Then I pointed out the oil all over the left muffler of the Goldwing, and even his left boot. He replied, "it just needs some gaskets replaced". So a Guzzi leaks and it is junk, but a Honda leaks and that is expected I guess.

Very true and very well said.  I had the unfortunate opportunity to work on a Honda Odyssey recently, what a POS.

I have owned 6 Hondas and they have been really great bikes.

None of them leaked oil, in all the time I had them.
