Crankshaft repair sleeve question

Got a B1100 and looking at using a repair sleeve on the front crankshaft for the timing cover oil seal leak. Has anyone tried this? Got a part number or recommended manufacturer? It looks like my shaft size is .866". I need to double check shaft dia. once I remove the timing cover. I don't want to remove it if this idea isn't feasible, because a new oil seal can be installed from the front of the cover. The oil seal in it is new, but still leaks. Have two grooves a few thousandths of an inch deep, which seems to cause problem.

I found a sleeve that may fit, however the area it covers on the shaft is only .315"
Seems awful close to the thickness of the oil seal itself. Not much room for error.

I could always try not seating newer seal in as far, but would rather us a repair sleeve.

Years ago I slipped with a sharp implement and made a mark on the ground shaft of a Mitsubishi car engine. It was where the front main seated and not surprisingly, it leaked. I got a Speedie sleeve which is about 10 thou' thick and fitted a seal with next size up I. D. I needed to warm the sleeve and it slid on, I think I may have used Loctite but not sure. On that occasion it worked perfectly. Hope this helps.

Go for it, You will also have to use a seal that matches the speedi -sleeve. don,t know how big the seal is, though. Might have some issues with the smaller seals. We use them all the time in the trucking industry.
