its been about 2 months, about 3k miles since I updated to the 1200 map.
the pinging has disappeared, starts easier and quicker, idles better when cold, and for no apparent reason, it has cranked first time when below 60, usually I have to do multiple stabs or jump the battery.
Gas mileage is about the same, maybe a little lower, not that much. Still getting high 30's to low 40's. Will know more when I change out the plugs at oil change in 2k miles.
the only negative so far, is it has a habit of dying if I pull in the clutch from say 3k or higher when stopping for a stop sign or slowing, but only when cold. not every time, just every once in awhile...
Don't know why I waited so long to do this. I was a little intimidated at first, but once I had the cables, and installed Guzzidag, it went pretty much like Beetle's instructions. thanks for the detailed instructions, and to Paul for the remap file.
