Take one for a test ride, Bob.  They look heavy, but don't act so when riding along.  You might even buy one.

Don't act heavy compared to what exactly? a V7 with two bags of cement on it?

I doubt if a V7 would even move with two bags of cement on it.

I concur.  While I was never hot and heavy on the 1400's.  Mine is fast becoming my favorite Guzzi of all time.  Runs awesome.  Handles awesomer.  :thumb:

Even though I'm blessed with having lots of riding options, every time I get on the Cali it makes me smile.  I'll ride it for as long as I can handle a 700 lb bike.

Great motorcycle.  Sometimes I just get the itch to look around and see the new choices out there, and there are lots of good choices.  but, I always come back to the 1400 with a big smile on my face.  its just a great motorcycle.

I really tried to like it, I just couldn't. Huge, heavy and the moment the road surface is less than perfect the handling becomes twitchy and disconcerting. I'm glad people like 'em but they're not for everyone.
