Today I took the little Red Breva to several auto part stores to try and match the paint.
This is a 2005 750 Breva in the faster USA Metallic Red color.
Auto Zone 's device came up with the closest match
The color is called Copper and came up with a match from Toyota
#403484. It will cost around $40.00 for a pint , it will also require a reducer for $$14.00 and a clear coat activator for $55.00 total around $110.00
That's the cost for using a spray gun.
They can make rattle can for it also but the guy told me the metal flakes will be hard to get even, nice flow, he also said it will be very close but not perfect match.
I am interested in useing this to paint a Vetter Quick Silver fairing I am in the process of putting on the bike. My next step is working on the mounting bracket to attach this. I'll end up taking the decorative tank trim pieces off to mount this ,but I think with some fiberglass body work I can make this work.
The end product is to have a Breva with a Norge like fairing on it.
I will post pictures of the project when the process starts.
My reason for posting is to find out if anyone else has found a better match for the paint.
Any comments / suggestions are welcome.
