Cx 100 - shop repair question

Ok, what is fair to ask/expect from an indie shop out of this:
I had a local independent German/Italian repair shop replace the Rear Main Seal a little over 2 years ago.
Drove the bike home (50 miles), injured my back, have not put a mile on the bike since then until last month (add 50 miles).
Today I noticed that the seal is leaking and spitting some oil.
So 2 years+ after the original repair, how would you expect the shop to handle this repair complaint?

Since the repair was performed previously (2yrs) it didn't appear to leak then but it sat for 2 years --is possible that the seal took a set on the crankshaft without lubrication then you start it with a dry seal an probably damaged it with a dry start / rust on the crank.
Whatever warranty you may have had has expired so contact the person/ shop that did the work 2 years go maybe they will offer assistance $$$$$$$$ but it looks like it will be more out of pocket.

Could be the seal.
Could be the breather pipe.
Could be the cam end plug.
Could be the bottom two bearing carrier holes which are drilled through to the crank chamber.
Could be the bearing carrier gasket.
Could be the bearing carrier bolts. (Some were too long and bottomed out before compressing the gasket.
Even if you never drove it, warranty is based on time and mileage, whichever comes first. You timed out.

Yeah - thanks Patrick, Tom, Kirb...
I figured time and tide waits for no seal.
I installed a LM 1 breather and K&Ns. No way to now the culprit without breaking open the cases I guess.
Question: I replaced the shift return spring when they replaced the seal - what else should I look at replacing while they have it opened up?
engine is stock original 1979

The seal may have a "set" to it as someone suggested and it may yet seat itself better with another hour or two of running time.

are you sure it's oil? give it the smell test, maybe your transmission is leaking thru the conical seals on the clutch push rod..
it would drip out the same hole..
