Uncle Benny R.I.P.
« on: November 27, 2016, 06:01:47 PM »
More sad news today. My Hero and the person that sparked my interest in motorcycles has died from a heart attack.
Uncle Benny had got my '70 Ambassador after he retired (Ian Adkins old bike).
Flew in to Atlanta and rode home to North Tonawanda, NY.
Rode it down here a second time and back, camping along the way each time.
He met several of you fine folks at different rallys he attended.
He spoke highly of his new "Guzzi Family"- and I thank you all for this.
Never one to pass up a chance for adventure.
Uncle Benny will ALWAYS ride with me...

We can go so quickly.   Just a few months ago, there he was, piloting that Ambo all around the East, running to rallies, meeting people, then ... gone.    The way of the world; I'm sorry for you and the rest of the family and his friends that he's gone - glad that he had these good times on a Guzzi at the last!

I'm sorry for the loss of your Uncle.   Wish I had met him--that's a good photo of him.

Yes,sir. NO guarantees of a tomorrow for any of us.
So kiss your mate, snuggle up with your pet and call the kids to say "lets meet at that Mexican joint".
And for crying out loud, maybe make the time to put some serious miles on that goose next year.
 Uncle Benny would like that.
Thank you all for the thoughts and kind words.
