OK, Dusty - I haven't followed the market for older Guzzis.  About all I know is that the 1000S is desirable.  What other Guzzis might be selling today for 1.5 and 2.0 times their original retail price, and are actually being purchased for that price?  And what's the rationale?

I guess its somewhat like the marketplace for 40 year old BMW R90S bikes.  Just that certain something that makes the R90S highly desirable, and the R100S not so much.

 Similar to the airhead values , yes Bob . It seems that most all Tonti frame Californias built between about 1995 and 2004 have bottomed out and are now holding their value based on mileage and condition . Selling prices seem to be between $3k and $4K no matter the year for most , Jackals and Stones a bit less .

The 1997 Moto Guzzi California, like the one in Orlando, retailed for $10,900. So, the seller is actually asking about 75% of the original SRP.  In my opinion, bikes like these sell for what the market will bear.

That is a beautiful bike, though the price is  a bit optimistic. Did that come with the big valve engine like in the Le Mans?
the red calipers do look a bit "cheesy", but thats easily corrected.......
