My YeaKoo "high back" camp chair arrived and I set it up for a test run.  Compared to the "low back" Alite Mantis that I test drove at REI and my previous choice in a $5 chair from Dollar General:

Stowed  the YeaKoo is 15"x 5"x 5" vs 12" x 5" x 5" for the Mantis.
The YeaKoo weighs a pound more.
The extra 3" in pack size goes right to the height of the chair when set up. That extra height makes it easier for me to get in and out of the chair.
Because of the angle of the back I don't think the high back is any more or any less comfortable at least for me.  Neither chair would be my choice for comfort.
The Dollar General chair is more comfortable than both but weighs more and doesn't stow inside my gear bag.
The YeaKoo is 1/2 the price of the Mantis but 8 times the price of my Dollar General folding camp chair it replaces ($5).

For the budget minded you still can't beat the Dollar General (or Walmart) camp chair.  At a usual $5 to $10 and available in most small towns in the South you can trash them after you're done and it will take a few trips before you start losing money.  They are more comfortable as well. The Mantis looks like the pick if you are hiking and have a premium on weight and pack size.  The YeaKoo is in the middle in both price and performance and I'm going to give it go this year and see how it works out.

Being a frugal Guzzisti, I would never have bought a Kermit chair, but the Kid gave me one for Christmas a few years ago. I have to say that all the accolades are on the money..and.. it's one of the most comfortable chairs I've sat in. When I get old,    I'll get the leg extensions for it.

Those who know me, know I am built like a tree stump. I have used a borrowed Kermit chair at a rally and had a heck of a time standing up out of it. They sit very low. When I did manage to stand up, I was still wearing the chair on my ass. Had to peel it off.  That said, the Kermit chair did survive intact. Very well made.

I get the mid grade umbrella chairs at Wal Mart. They often hold up ten years or more for me.
