1981 cx100 Gear Ratio
« on: March 03, 2017, 08:08:23 AM »
Is the gear ratio for transmission and final drive gears on the CX100 any different than the G5, SP or T3, or are they identical?

Thanks.

What he said.. Rear drive is 7-33 Teeth on pinion and crown == 4.71 gear ratio .   Unless someone changed to a different ratio. The transmission gear ratios are the same as T3 G 5 Etc

Ok, thanks guys. I think one of the LM, SE I think has a slight gear change, and I didn't know if MG threw in some gearing change on the CX aa well.

87 SE LeMans had the strait cut gearboxs from the factory. That was the change.
