This old '75 T followed me home tonight.   She's been sitting with motor apart since '84.  LH head is toast (broke exhaust valve), LH big end is loose.  Other than that, nothing is missing other than the headlight ring (due to that other '70s affliction - "Winderjammeritis").  This is my second T and I lucked out with another oil filter model! 3500 original miles, 1 abusive and drunken PO...

What freaks me out is the number of old Guzzis that have very little mileage on them.  Who the hell owned these bikes?  Who bought them new, and let them deteriorate?  It's been a puzzle ever since I purchased my first one in 2009, and got involved with the brand.  Granted, I have little experience with the brand when compared to others on this forum.  But when I start looking over sites with classifieds (thinking BMW,) it's difficult to find low mileage airheads and oilheads. 

There might be something in this that explains why Guzzi sells 6-8k bikes a year worldwide, and BMW sells well over 100,000 units.
