A new PF09 supplier
« on: March 31, 2017, 03:37:52 PM »
Hi All,

A new PF09 is now available. I have just purchased one and it arrived today and looks to be a quality item. It even comes with data logging information to confirm how it passed quality assurance.
I will install tomorrow and report back on it's performance.

Here is the link on the bay of fleas with a description of how and why.

Buggers should learn how to spell - lol

That would be a sensor , a censor is a slightly different beast.

If it's a censor though...Does that mean smoke comes out? Or is it directly connected to some higher being?

Not sure Pete, maybe he censors throttle position in case any restricted openings occur.

Installed and working  :thumb:
Tried with both WM16M and MyECU and it is perfect.

For information only.
I replaced it as the old unit was jumping around at idle but this may have been an adjustment issue.
Initial setup was good with the WM16M but when I put in the MyECU and wound the idle back to just over 1150 it was jumping from 0.069 to 0.169 resulting in a lumpy idle when at operating temps. So I adjusted it back to 0.058 and it is a rock solid idle and readout

They sell a pf3c too, I have thought you need to huge sell numbers to make a production run profitable.

I would've thought so too, but a while back Chris at California Cycle Works (now oddly enough in Georgia, USA...) kept me on the phone for almost an hour talking about obscure Ducati parts and how he as an EE enjoys researching and sourcing them.  It might be a kind of hobby sideline to his business, from which we (and also a few Chinese) benefit.  I'm sure glad to see it happening, passion is what Italian bikes are all about.
