In my case, older men who have done all the 120 MPH bragging and strutting that they're going to do in their lives, who don't see the point in holding up an extra 300 pounds at every stop, and who remember accurately the days when they used to ride everywhere that they ride now, but on a 350cc motorcycle ....

Yeh I get that, just seems such a huge gap between this and the normal HD range. Maybe they will plug it with a 750 or similar soon.

I love my old Cali but would have a V7 too if I could sneak it by the financial controller.

It comes in two different 750 versions, one in a Sporty chassis and more power, but I believe the base 750 has a dyno that is pretty similar to a Duc 696.

Here's the Cycle World comparison of the base 750 and a 696.

I haven't seen a dyno on the new sport version but it's supposed to be a jump in power over the base so it's promising to be a fun bike.

Thanks. Ever since I sold my CALVIN to NCDAN, I have been itching to get another MG under 500lbs. I like the new, revised Roamer. I will have to travel quite far to buy one as closest dealer is in Reno or do a fly and ride this summer.
There you go buddy, buy you one of those bad boys and keep it as nice as the Calvin was and I may just buy it to:).  I think they are beautiful bikes! And the 850 with all of that toque is plenty big enough.
