My local dealer, Moto Strada, of Shipley, West Yorkshire, decided last year that their good sales figures allowed them to become a Moto Guzzi dealer only.  They diaappeared from the list of dealers on the MG UK website a couple of weeks ago. I went out there today to find that they still have a few new Guzzis in the showroom, but the rest of the bikes there are a secondhand miscellany.
Moto Strada was renowned for its bespoke V7s. Check out the website, it's still online. There are some beautiful bikes there.
I hope that they continue to service MGs, and sell their bespoke parts. It would be a shame to lose them completely, especially, selfishly, as they are so close to home.

I've had a ride out to Thirsk dealer and the showroom looked good and staff pleasant, not been to Sheffield yet. Steve.

I can't fathom the logic that leads any dealer to decide to become a dealer with only one line if they already have multiple lines, particularly when the 'one' is a brand with a century-long pattern of up-and-down sales. Naturally, there are costs and commitments for each of the brands they carry, but that also gives them some added diversity when the market shifts or demand varies.

That is a true shame. There are only a handful of truly good Moto Guzzi dealers in the UK, and Moto Strada were one—for the most part, at least.
