Trochoidal Milling - one for the machine shop guys

NGC, but interesting
Whilst looking at a sub-contractors capabilities I came across the Trochoidal Milling technique that I'd not seen before
https://www.wnt.com/uk/cutting-tools/milling-tools/circularline-end-mills-for-trochoidal-milling.html
From about 21 seconds in they show a "conventional" set up versus Trochodial
This might be common practice now but I'd not seen it before and the metal removal rate looks impressive to say the least

They have been running the philosophy of light cut super fast speed for quite a few years now. When I worked in a machine shop we ran Guhring Diver endmills. Blows your mind how fast they go.

You've gotta have the machine with the horsepower and speed capability, but yes.. light cuts at high speed has been the way to go for years.

Wow, I took milling classes in college (41 yrs ago) and could never have imagined how precise and fast modern milling technology has become. Interesting video, thanks for posting!
