Tangerine Dream wrote the sound track to "Grand Theft auto 5" so surprisingly teenagers today may be spending longer listening to Tangerine Dream than Beyonce! Not bad for a KroutRock band from half a century ago.
Well, my own garage band should have done a lot better: http://dansher.com/banddays.htm Please forgive me for blowing my own horn, but those were halcyon days for sure. That's me on the Jazzmaster (lower right) back in '64. My son has it now along with the Fender Concert Amp which still sings on stage in his band. The Beat goes on.Hope more than a few of you had the same unforgettable experience...'Geezer
OK I admit I'm more of "roots" guy than technique (shredding) guy. My vote for the most most talented guy (and group) that never got their due.... Jimmy Hall (http://www.allmusic.com/artist/jimmy-hall-mn0000850971/biography) and Wet Willie (http://www.wetwilliemusic.com/about.html) . Hall can outsing, outplay, and out stage presence Mick Jagger any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
