quite a race and the irony of separate incidents with JR at the Simoncelli circuit.

Luckily, the downed rider only sustained a cracked vertebrae

Haven't seen it yet but I've found cracked ribs take longer to heal than broken ribs.

I have read it was a crash fest.  Is it a wet race?

That could've ended badly...scary! Hope Davies can recover quickly...

The only place that those type of machines should be. They are truly amazing when they are on the track not on the highway passing through traffic like angry hornets.
Just my opinion.

It did end badly for Davies.   Heard he has a cracked vertebra.   Lucky he's not paralyzed.  Isn't this the same track a few years ago Simoncelli was killed instantly when run over by Colin Edwards in Moto GP race?    This time Davies  gets run over by Jonathan Rea.    I'll be surprised if Davies can still road race this year.

Sunday  Superbike race 2 again on, BEin ch. 392, Dish @ 2:30 pm.  Check your morning listing  out East.  :azn:

Sunday race 2 was definitely different than previously races so far this season.   No Davies (not surprised) and Jodi Torres/BMW leading the race for a long time before he finally got passed by Melandri (Ducati) and then with 3 laps to go Torres' BMW craps out for some reason and hands Rea, Sykes 2nd, 3rd places.   So the Kawi. riders pile up some more points.

who ever runs the audio feed should be fired! yeah it's nice to have track sound in the background but not so loud you can't hear the commentary. it seems like the audio in every race has some problem, fire that guy.

I agree you couldn't hear much of what those 2 announcers were saying as they talk a mile a minute, but they talk too fast for me anyway.  :undecided:   I miss Jonathan Green talking.

I can't understand those guys if they were sitting at my kitchen table.  Subtitles perhaps?

I hope he can and is 100% but many times a racer says that and then finds out they were optimistic.  :undecided:

It may not be the audio engineer at the track.  My understanding is that the audio is distributed on two tracks, with commentary on one, and Fx on the other (different commentary for different languages).  It's up to the broadcast center to balance the audio, which often isn't done very well.
