removing sticker from painted area

My wife put one of the Guzzi stickers that go on H-B bags onto our car.

I want to take it off to trade in the car, but am afraid it will pull the paint off with it. Ya think heating it with a heat gun first would get it off and save the paint?

Hair dryer until soft then use the edge of a credit card to slowly peel off-Sometimes WD40 helps to loosen the glue.

A dealers detailing people should know how to get that off. Better to trade as it is than take a chance on screwing up the paint.

I have never seen a decal ruin paint and have peeled a ton of them off all sorts of vehicles. Soften with a little heat or leave it in the sun then peel it off. Clean up any residue with oil of your choice- Goo Gone, WD-40, etc.

Heat it up with a hair dryer or heat gun and separate it from the surface with dental floss. Clean up the residue as described above...

I've also used the dental floss trick. To remove the glue, I've used "Skin so Soft" - an Avon product my sister gave me years ago and I use it to remove glue. Works, great, and guess what... it makes your skins soft

I've used a personal steamer to soften the glue without risk of overheating paint. Goo Gone works great for getting the remaining glue off.

Household stream cleaner such as a Scunci and a plastic squeegee.  From experience it works quickly and to thoroughly on window tinting and commercial sign graphics.
Heats the sticker to soften it and melts adhesives.
