V9 and V7III MPG?

Just curious with the new bikes, what are folks seeing for mpg numbers?  I've been ridiculously and pleasantly surprised thus far with the Roamer, (checked at pump) averaging 49.4 in 12 fill ups and about 2k miles, averaging  50.1 for the last 10.

did you actually do the math or trust the gauge. my V7 and V7-3 are running 50-53 av but the V7-3 says it is mid 60's.

my V7 rakes me in maybe 45~48? man, I wonder what am I doing wrong LOL...

I found the V9 gauge to be about 8% optimistic on mileage.  Wouldn't be surprised if the V7 III is about the same. 

For the V9, high 40's (actual) is typical for around town.  Mid-50's is easily achievable on the open road.

I did the math.  The display was pretty close if I recall correctly.

It should be easy to hit 50 plus. The carburated Aero engine does that. Of course, that's using a vague lia odo.

Just returned home from a 2500 mile wandering tour from Ct to Fl on a V7 III with a dart screen, 30l
H-B panniers and a Minstral exhaust, fork emulators. We did some interstate miles at 75-85 mph and some country roads at 35-55 mph. Rider and luggage likely weighed in at about 250 lbs. MPG varied from 52-62. This is a little bike that can...... and ir out performed my expectations.

It was a great trip and the V7 was a delight in many ways. Comfort and ergonomics was excellent(I'm 190 lbs, 5'11' 32 inseem),  power was way more then I expected, Turn in and tracking and high speed stability were excellent. I'll replace the pos rear shock and it'll be the perfect bike for me...... until the next new bike.

damn that sounds delighted!...

and this makes me wondering what am I doing wrong LOL...and/or something "wrong" with my fuel map...hmmmm ...I can't get my bike MPG past 48, no matter how hard I try...

I previously had a 2015 V7 Stone that usually turned in around 45-47 around town maybe 50 at best on the highway.  Don't know what to attribute thus far for the better mileage with the V9; riding style is about the same and, if anything, driving a bit faster on the V9 on the interstate.
