Get these all the time in the Britbike world.

The scammers' "window" is 40% - 60% of the normal market value of the bike.   Not so low that everyone instinctively shies away, but low enough that people think it MIGHT be real and either Email or telephone.

Sometimes the scammer is just collecting valid telephone and Email addresses for the telemarketer world, they're not really planning on getting your money for the bike .....

Indeed it could be a scam. A month ago I sold my 89 FZR 400 for a bit more than double that price. R3~
