Good (modern) Guzzi service in northern Virginia area?
« on: September 14, 2017, 11:26:54 AM »
Can anyone recommend a good place to get timely, competent service work for one's Stelvio?  By "northern Virginia area" I mean any place within 2 or 3 hours.  La Moto in Arlington?  Moto Richmond?   Europa Macchina in PA?

Today marks two weeks it's sat at Winchester Motosports without so much as a diagnosis, never mind corrective measures.  Supposedly their "Guzzi guy" doesn't work every day.

I've been to La Moto once for service.  I didn't have any issues with them.

Moto Richmond ("Scoot Richmond") did the roller tappet conversion on my Stelvio.

On schedule, on budget, re-mapped properly, and looked up and did the centerstand recall at the same time.

Highly recommended, and I'm not easy to please sometimes ...

Moto Richmond has always been a great experience for me, so good I have all but given up doing my own work.  They are better, faster, and I can have a great meal and hang out in the showroom while they do their thing.

La Moto are nice folks and have a lot of cool Guzzis but I have never had service done there.

I would not leave a bike for two weeks with no word.  That is too bad, I know Bill Hagan bought his last bike from somewhere other than there, not sure why.

If you haven't been to Europa Macchina, I recommend a visit, even if you are planning to have service done elsewhere. Top notch in every way. The place also does high-end auto restoration (Bentleys, among others) and has the resources to do the work correctly on your Moto Guzzi.

Another vote for Moto Richmond. Nice folks, they know Guzzis and won't jerk you around.

Thanks again, everyone.  Good to know there are options somewhat nearby.

I was able to get through to Winchester this afternoon.  Looks like I need a new ABS unit.
