I had the same issue on the sport screen I got for my V11. I soaked it in the bathtub overnight in hot water with dish washing liquid in it. I didn't have any idea what this would do, but it couldn't hurt, right? The next morning, almost all of the coating was peeled off the screen. Another bath might have completed the job, but it was good enough so I put it back on the bike. It's easy, cheap, and it might work for your bike too!

This makes me think of something I saw on a DIY restoration on TV just this past weekend.. they boiled painted hardware, then dunked the boiled painted parts in cold water and the paint just peeled after the temperature shift/shock.

Out here if you're asked do you like to eat crumpets on a forum, you'll be re directed to a site that deals with a different subject matter and urged to dial numbers of people that co incidentally only live 3.7 miles from you.
Strange that, because the same person still lived 3.7 miles from me in a country that uses kilometres and was 2,000 of them removed from the first one that came up 4 days before.
Guess she must be following me around... (it's the only explanation !)
