Allow me to add my condolences to you and all the other caring folks who have lost a furry family member. It can be very hard even when they have lived a long and full life. We also lost two special cats in the last few years. Both adopted us, and they always seem to be the best ones. Yes, agreed...and when the pain subsides...there are plenty of poor homeless kitties and cats that need a good, loving home!

RIP: In 2003 & 2004, my two beloved cats Knipper and later his big sister, Maxie.

A friend sent me this "Pet's Prayer" that helped me, both then and right now, more than he ever knew.

As many have stated they are family. Grieve as long as necessary but remembering them is very beneficial.

We have had MANY cats during our 40 year marriage and each cat (and dog!!) brings it's own personality and love to the household.

I lost my Daffy many years ago. We don't normally have garage kitty's but that's where she was happy. This was one of her favorite spots to watch Dad doing stuff in the garage!

Yes there are many cats and dogs out there in shelters that would love to be loved by you. When you are ready consider making another a happy camper!!!
