Been having a great evening sipping spiced cider and reading the very first issues of the "Moto Meatball News" (later to be MGNOC News) from 1971 on the MGNOC Website...one of the features is the introduction of new members...the membership numbers are in the 20's and on up...it was a different world back then...members home addresses were published with the invitation from the newsletter editor to drop in on members if you were passing through their town...hilarious advert for a device called the "Hot Pants Novelty Retractable Grabber" which apparently mounted to your Guzzi and allowed for inappropriate touching(?)...some of the featured owners must be quite elderly or passed on by now...maybe some here still remember...fascinat
ing look back at Guzzi owners history...oh, and a notice of a "Moto Guzzi Get-Together" on June 3&4th, 1972 which cost each particpant the princely sum of $1.00 for the bike and 50 cents per person which included food AND camping(!)...
