So I picked up a two-piece Denali SoundBomb compressed air horn (plus wiring harness) a while ago, and this week I finally blocked out enough time to install it. The install was pretty straightforward, for the most part. I was able to use the mounting brackets from the previous pair of disc horns for the two pieces of the SoundBomb, although my crash bars made the fit a lot tighter and more awkward than I’d like (and honestly most of the install time was spent trying out different mounting spots).
I sprung for the one-size-fits-all wiring harness, which was probably not the best choice, as I now have a few extra feet of thick bundled wiring coiled up inside my left side panel. On the plus side, there is a handy spot under the left side panel where the 30 amp relay can be mounted.
At some point, I may redo the wiring to economize a bit, or spring for some better mounting brackets, but for now, it’s on and it’s loud and it works.
