need new internal bolts and washers for my lemans I rebuild

just curious what you guys think?  were do you get new bolts and washers from? fastenal, guzzi shop, sears?  basically as of now I'm looking for oil pump, front and rear main bearings and cam bearing

It's standard stuff.  Go to the bins at your local hardware store and get the same grade metric.  Don't use stainless in these areas, and there is no structural advantage to using higher grades than what the oem fasteners are marked.

ive heard that before about not using stainless, just curious, why is stainless a bad choice?

Common stainless is structurally inferior to the metric grade 8.8 and better plated steel fasteners that are OEM on the Guzzi.  Stainless stretches at low torque and shears easily.

Stainless is an attractive choice for low torque fasteners like valve covers and tinwork, but not so much for oil pumps and thrust plates.

I've been buying all of my metric fasteners from mr.metric.com.  I'd recommend them - large selection, reasonable prices (unlike your local hardware store), fast shipping.

I've quit buying metric fasteners at local hardware stores, they all seem to be what we used to call "butter bolts". Cheap Chinese quality.
