In Sitka it was hard to field a full band all the time, especially in the summer. So on any given night the local bar bands were a mix of whoever wasn't out fishing or in jail from among the town's musicians. Some bands changed their names depending on the gig. "3-Legged Dog" would do a set of pre-invasion rock, take a break and return as "Bellymeat" with the same players, for a set of bluegrass. As "Casually Snide" they'd finish the night with 70s rock. The band members were the school district music department, except for Bob the bass player who also fronted the death metal band "Kold Knights", did a weekly npr spot and ran the loader at the town dump.
