While most of us call it the Lolo Pass, it appears the highways people refer to it by the name of the river on the west side of the pass. Since the nearest alternate routes are all the way up at Coeur d'Alene or all the way down near Boise, this will put a kink in plans and distances for anyone riding in the area. At least almost all the roads up there are beautiful and fun to ride (as long as they are open!  :wink: ).

I'm of the opinion that stretch of magnificent tarmac would be fun even with construction...more time to check out the river and wildlife...that was one of the most perfect rides of my life!   :bow:
