Vetter Windjammer fairing on Cali Stone possible?

I’ve come around and now like the look of Vetter Windjammer fairings. You can get them for chump change here on UK eBay.
Question (I know they at 70’s products..) :
-How is the turbulence on them, the screen doesn’t have a flip-up curve at the top that has created problems for me in my be past.
-most of the Windjammer fairing advertised on uk eBay ($25 and up) don’t have fitting hardware or if they do they were for cb750, goldwings..
How difficult is the mounting hardwares to make?

The possible problem I can foresee is the clearance for the forks. The 70s versions had narrower trees. Depending on the windjammer variant they might interfere with the fairing.
Mounts are not an issue. If you have a front crashbar (needed for windjammer installations) you can use a half-pipe saddle mount to the crashbar (traditionally hose clamped to the crashbar) with a flat bar welded to the top for bolting up the windjammer. Otherwise there are often mounts sold separately on the auction sites.

Someone on the board put one on an EV. I think it was the Wisconsin MGNOC Rep?
Something I wanted, but never got around to do

Much discussion about their looks, but I rode behind one for years and enjoyed every mile...

I've got a nice Pacifico (windjammer clone) I'm hoping to put on my EV. I just checked it -- the clearance is adequate for the wide EV forks. Assuming similar dimensions, your choice won't have a clearance problem.

There was a forum member by the name of Cave Luther , from upstate New York, that did a beautiful job of putting one on his stone. I am pretty sure he put some pics . up here of his install. He modified a mount from a cb 750 I think.

half way down this discussion you will see pics of Caves stone with the Jammer, and some info on it,
You can send Cave a PM if you need more info from him, I dont think he frequents the forum much any more, but is a real nice , helpful Guzzisti.

I put one on my wife’s Baby Breva, you can get a curved lip screen from Gustafson from Florida and they will make one with vents also but extra fees, one problem I ran into was the thickness of the replacement screen,it was about 1/16 shy of the original and with vents it would fold back at speeds above 65, which was kinda scary so they redid mine and using 3/16 and we went to one vent in the middle, and did away with the lip, now it stays straight up. I tried multiple angles and height with little change, now it’s fine. You can find lots of brackets on e-bay. I used a Vetter QuickSilver faring , and found a Kawasaki 650 bracket that I didn’t have to alter. But ended up modifying it , because I couldn’t get the angle where I was satisfied. I like it, But wife says she prefers the plexifairing big barn door fairing better. Oh well it’s her bike so I’ll probably end up giving her what she wants

When I was a motor officer back in the 80s we had 900 Honda CB customs dressed out with vetter windjammers and luggage. It’s easy to love these things! They were tough as need and very wind protective. I would love to have one on my calvin but don’t think I could to make brackets to install it. There are plenty on these babies on eBay for great prices!

Owned a '78 Airhead for a short while that wore a Windjammer. As I recollect it provided amazing protection. Kinda like sitting on the porch on a calm day.
