V7 Slip ons... without selling a kidney?
« on: April 03, 2018, 03:19:43 PM »
I know that opptions are low, largely due to a low install base in North America, but aside from the "hey you got a thousand bucks?" options... anyone out there installed a set of aftermarket mufflers on a V7 Stone or special? Would love to hear and see 'em if you have.

You can get a set of Dunstall replicas Emgo's for a bit more than $100

Ehh. Not a fan of Emgo as a brand.

Yeah, I know... you want cheap, it won't be good... etc.

But there's a balance, somewhere between the two extremes.

A friend of mine had some of these (chrome version) on his Monza, and it sounded amazing. The V7 is just an enlarged Monza so might have the same exhaust dimensions, in which case these will fit.

I don't know if they post to the US, but I imagine they do as this is where most of the British bikes went back in the day.

Those look like they could be nice.  :thumb:
A lister gave me a set of peashooters for the Lario, but that set was loud and harsh sounding. I gave them to some other lister.. They looked nice, though.

Keihan Systems in the UK produce impeccably-made, classically-styled stainless exhausts for a wide spectrum of European motos, including vintage Guzzi's, both small and big block.  They don't list the current V7 series, but if the V50III/V65 headers are the same diameter as those of the current smallblock series, these silencers would likely fit.  The pipes are gorgeous, perfect, durable and reasonably priced.   Worth a phone call to inquire.
