New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Old subject; but, new potential issue for me and my new 2013 V7 Stone. I’ve also read every link I can on the issue and haven’t found an answer that make me comfortable. Is there a “plug and play” Voltage regulator that I can swap out without cutting fittings, etc?I see one on GuzziTech; however, I’m not sure if it is a direct replacement as it mentions possible fitting replacement.
HiCan I suggest you check how secure the connectors are by giving the wires that go into the blocks a tug, as I speak from experience having rushed out and bought a new replacement only to find whilst removing the faulty one and pulling a bit harder than I normally would if I thought it was good, to my surprise the wire actual came out of the connector, Must have been a day when they were short of solder, As for fitting a non genuine RR it's no big deal to change the connector blocks, money saving tooHope that helps
I can't say about Guzzitech, but you could always ask Todd I'm sure he or someone on his board will answer. When Cam, Jay, and I all had to do it we figured it was fair to let the electrical engineer of the group do the soldering for all of us. We ordered 4 of the Crimp & Go kits - now the Crimp or Solder and Go kits from RoadsterCycle.comhttp://roadstercycle.com/I'm sure Jay (Jas67) can chime in if he wants, but I suspect we wouldn't have had any problem crimping it, and I know even a talking hairless ape like myself could have soldered it, we just took the easy way out lol.
